What does this mean? Robotic automation, hardware, software and accelerated digitization has pushed 98% of companies to reconsider several professional tasks to be transferred to technological options.
45% of companies think will need to restructure their companies to gain digital mindset
As a result, around 45% of companies consider that they will have to lay off part of their staff because they will not be able to adjust to these new needs and also that these companies plan to rely on other companies with a more developed technology.
Another 34% of companies think about generating new jobs, recruiting new staff because this new technology will allow them to be more efficient and to penetrate and reposition in the new business market.
There will be sectors that the new situation will affect them more than others. That is why we must be prepared for this change, for this the companies have to face the fear of a cultural change rather than a technological one. We have to talk about transformation rather than change, although it is true that this fourth industrial revolution is going at an unusual speed.
Technology adoption by companies rising at higher path ever
This table below shows the expected proportion of technologies to be adopted by companies by 2025. The trend is more pronounced in technological aspects of cloud computing, big data, and electronic commerce. In addition, there is a significant increase in cybersecurity, encryption and artificial intelligence.
Job market expectations for the 2021-25 period will be forced to gain tech skills
Studies and analyses on the development of companies estimate that by 2025 50% of whole workers will be forced to regain new skills, some from scratch, with an average training time of about six months. This new knowledge will focus on new environments based on digitization, software and digitization.
On the other hand, 40% of workers will have it easier since they will have the necessary knowledge base in the new business environment, but they will be forced to update or modify their skills.
AI, Big Data and Data Analytics is the future for sustainable growth
There are sectors such as technology or industry where, for example, artificial intelligence or big data analysis play a decisive role in the future of corporations and where specialized development is much or more accelerated than in other fields that are more regulated, and they prevent the aforementioned digital change.
The jobs in general will remain the same, what we see here is that the new capacities will make the differences between the diverse disciplines and job activities are fading away.
But still, we have to be optimistic about the future of the evolution of work globally. According to the World Economic Forum report by 2025 85 million jobs may be destroyed in the world by this transformation of companies in the face of a new concept and implementation of the Know-how of companies, while it is expected the creation of 97 million new job positions. Then the problem is that you have to change behaviours where training plays a fundamental role in the new structures of companies.

Technology, Social and Sustainable development has reshaped business
The business community faces a new business concept where not only the technological element plays a main role, but also the social and sustainable development aspects are now a reality.
A new mentality of the companies that highlights the increase in green development policies, circular economy in addition to training their workforce avoiding job losses. It is the example of Spain that, due to COVID-19, has created the ERTE (Temporary Employment Regulation Files) where companies have been able to take advantage of the confinement time to continue training to their employees.
The challenge of companies and societies in a medium-term scenario is decisive, as well as adopting the skills and opportunities to plan and develop strategies in order to improve the future of work in our countries will be a challenge that will have to be counted on in the times to come.
